There are many occasions when controlling a tv with a regular remote is not just convenient. Maybe you want to surf internet on it, and it is too difficult to type with tv remote. Or it might be simply very difficult to operate it with your remote because of whatever reason. but the thing remains is that what will you do in such case? What are the different steps that you can take to do so. How will you control or use your tv accordingly without any remote. Here are a few simple things that you can follow.

Here I have a few methods discussed below along with their ways of implementation. Here are a few ways in which you can do use your tv other than remote.

• Wireless Mouse and Keyboard
• Phone Casting

HDMI cable

First thing that you can do is that attach you tv with a laptop with HDMI port. Although this is more of like screen mirroring. by doing this you are not actually controlling it but still you will be operating without remote. Here are a few steps that you can follow to do so;

This is a procedure specifically for windows 10 laptop although you can also use it with other laptops. Procedure will vary a little bit.

1)Get You HDMI Cable Attached

If you are going to opt this process make sure that the HDMI cable you are going to use is fitting very nicely. If you don’t know there are many variations among HDMI cables so this part might go wrong if you go too casual with it.

2)Go to Settings on Desktop

Now go to the settings in windows panel. You can also do this by clicking on messages section in lower right corner. Here you will find a Project button.

3)Click on the Project Button

After clicking on that button you are supposed to click screen mirroring in opened menu. Your screen will start mirroring right away.

Wireless mouse

Next, We can also connect our tv with a wireless mouse and keyboard combo. This is avery convenient method that you can opt to control your tv. This particular step is very easy to follow all you need to do is connect your mouse and keyboard with USB transmitter. This is not just easy to use but it is very convenient too.

This is very helpful if you are going to surf internet. But where this really stands out is that in previous method you cannot cast OTT platforms like Amazon Prime and Netflix. But with this technique you can use any platform without any problem. With casting you are not able to cast your movies or series because this is something which is against rules of these OTT platforms.

Phone Casting

You can also try this method of casting your mobile screen to your television. Since mobile phones are much more convenient and even more easy to handle than a laptop. So if you are into this, you can go for it too. but once again the problems are same you will not be able to do screen casting of OTT platforms again. Other than this you will be able to perform everything that you desire to do with your television.
